Wavy building with large walls

Project

UAA Anchorage Consortium Library

AMC Engineers designed this 135,000 SF library expansion to the original UAA core library (80,000 SF) in 2000. Having stood the test of time for 25 years, this facility remains a centerpiece of the UAA campus. AMC continues to be involved with the building, completing several remodels to both the core and library expansion areas over the years to facilitate programming changes. The original archive area’s central HVAC system is being upgraded to current technology. A second archive area is being incorporated into the first-floor space and the library’s north entry is being improved.
