Originally from Minnesota, Matt came to explore Alaska in the summer of 2006 after graduating from college. He decided Alaska was the place for him and never left. Matt joined AMC Engineers in the fall of 2006 and has enjoyed the opportunity to work on projects across this beautiful state, from the North Slope to Southeast Alaska. Early in his career, he worked on healthcare facility projects, and the healthcare sector has since become a primary focus for him. Matt enjoys the unique challenges and technical nature of engineering and design in healthcare environments. When he’s not in the office, he enjoys gardening, working on home projects, traveling, and camping with his family.

    Building systems engineering is a great blend of math, science, and construction.

    I’d love to travel around Europe—and Maui never gets old.

  3. What’s your favorite hobby or pastime?

    I really enjoy gardening. Spring planting is one of my favorite times of year.
