Staff Electrical Engineer

David is a lifelong Alaskan who joined AMC Engineers in 2020, shortly before graduating from the University of Alaska Anchorage. During his time in college, he had the opportunity to engage in engineering research focused on developing a novel photovoltaic power system designed to integrate with micro-electrical grids in Arctic climates. This work received a grant from NASA and led to a research publication with IEEE. Since joining AMC Engineers, David has primarily focused on telecommunication and special systems design for a variety of projects within AMC’s scope. He is also an avid musician, weightlifter, dancer, and audiophile electronics hobbyist.

Get to know David

  1. Who or what inspires you?

    I am fascinated by the late, great “Wizard of Waukesha” Les Paul – a man whose passion for music motivated him to make incredible contributions to the recording industry and musical technologies more broadly. Many of his innovations changed the very sound of American music and are still in widespread use to this day! He achieved all of this while also creating an impressive catalog of music including a number of #1 hit singles along the way.

  2. What’s one thing you value in your colleagues?

    In my experience, it is rare to find a collection of such highly capable, intelligent, caring people with no excessive egos and a persistent spirit of cooperation for the good of the project and the client. To be a part of such an impressive team is a continuously humbling and joyous experience!

  3. What’s the best piece of professional advice you’ve ever received?

    How you do anything, is how you do EVERYTHING.
