Project
Prince William Sound Science Center
This unique, once-in-a-generation science center includes advanced laboratories, a running seawater circulation system, and plans for a science residence and dormitory, which help make the Science Center and Alaska more competitive for national-level research funding, support high-wage jobs, generate new STEAM education opportunities, and assist industries such as mariculture, aquaculture, and commercial fishing. The mechanical and electrical systems for the labs, offices, classrooms, conference spaces, kitchen, and storage spaces were designed to ensure occupant comfort and energy efficiency in a remote coastal environment.
