As part of the Alaska Native Medical Center Emergency Services Expansion project a temporary emergency department was constructed to sustain operations throughout the construction of the overall project.  Maintaining 24/7 emergency operations throughout construction requires precise design coordination and phased planning to ensure a clean and safe environment for patients and staff. When fully complete the Emergency Services Expansion project will include an expanded and modernized emergency department, expanded PACU, and surgery services units within a new six-story tower to support future hospital growth.  Through close collaboration with the design team and ANMC stakeholders, AMC is delivering a facility that enhances patient care and meets the community’s growing healthcare needs.
