Project
Marathon Petroleum Company Maintenance Facility
This new maintenance facility at the Kenai Refinery supports daily operations and future expansion. It includes twin high-bay fabrication and mechanical shops, tool storage, a break room, locker and training rooms, open office areas, and a conference room. Energy-efficient LED lighting with automatic controls enhances safety and reduces energy use. The design allows for future growth through a new Homer Electric Association service and an extended campus fiber-optic loop. Integrated ventilation systems support industrial welding, warehouse, and office areas, while a commercial trench drainage system with an oily waste vault ensures safe spill management. Acoustic design measures reduce noise transfer from high-bay activities to office spaces, creating a safe, efficient, and comfortable work environment.
