National ASHRAE Technology Award
We earned our third National ASHRAE Technology Award for the UAF Engineering Building and took first place in the 2019 ASHRAE Region XI.

2019
New President Named
Ken Ratcliffe was named President and Head of the Electrical Department after serving as a Principal since 2006. He had been with AMC Engineers for nearly 30 years.

New Bellingham Office Opens
We expanded to the Pacific Northwest with the opening of our Bellingham, Washington office. This marked a major milestone in our firm’s growth.

National ASHRAE Technology Award
We received a National ASHRAE Technology Award for the Alaska State Crime Lab, recognizing our continued commitment to innovative and energy-efficient design solutions.

2011
New President Named
Pat Cusick was appointed President and Head of the Electrical Department, becoming the first non-founder to lead AMC Engineers.

2007
First LEED Project
Homer Public Library was the first community building in Alaska to earn Silver certification from the U.S. Green Building Council for its sustainable materials, indoor air quality, energy use, and environmental performance.

2004
ANC C Concourse Opens
We completed our largest project to date, a major effort spanning over 10 years and totaling more than 800,000 SF.

National ASHRAE Technology Award
We received a National ASHRAE Technology Award for the Hunter Education Indoor Shooting Range located in Fairbanks, Alaska.

2001
Anchorage Office Relocation
After a decade on Denali Street, we moved into a new office space at 701 East Tudor Road, Suite 250. The move supported our continued growth and remains our home to this day.

Our Story Begins
AMC Engineers was founded by Boyd Morgenthaler (Mechanical Engineer) and David Adams (Electrical Engineer), marking the beginning of many years of excellence in MEP design throughout Alaska.
