Vice President/Principal Mechanical Engineer
Mark is a lifelong Alaskan who joined AMC Engineers in 1992, following nearly five years with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Construction Division and two years at another local engineering firm. With almost four decades of professional experience, Mark consistently delivers mechanical designs that are cost-effective, practical to construct, easy to maintain, and energy efficient. Mark takes pride in carefully listening to each client’s expectations, ensuring their unique needs are understood and effectively addressed through straightforward mechanical solutions. His greatest satisfaction comes from projects requiring innovative design approaches, notably exemplified by his role as Mechanical Engineer of Record for the UAA’s Alaska Airlines Center. Mark is a dedicated mentor who finds great fulfillment in guiding younger engineers toward professional and personal growth. He attributes much of his continued enthusiasm to working alongside remarkable colleagues on exciting and impactful projects across Alaska. Outside the office, Mark enjoys practicing Judo and spending time with family and friends exploring Alaska.
